            Greater Peoria Chess Foundation

            The Greater Peoria Chess Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization dedicated to encouraging chess in our community and school systems. Chess helps students to develop many life skills that will help them as they navigate with challenges that lay ahead.

            Related Web Sites

            The Federation, also known as the Peoria Kingsmen Chess Club, meets Monday nights at the Life Together Center (formerly the Great Central Insurance Bldg) at Sheridan & War Memorial 7 to 11pm. It is mostly for adults with ratings in exess of 1000, but all players are welcome.


            The Hult Chess Club, meets Friday nights at the Schnuck's Supermarket at University & Glen 6:30 to 8:30pm. It is for all young players in the K-12 grades, but all players are welcome. Although no formal instruction is given, beginners are welcomed and receive general instruction on how to play. Friday night is fun night, the kids are a little loud for chess but they all have a great time. Private lessons may be available, depending on availability.
